Trolls exist on the internet. It’s just a fact of life on the worldwide web. I’ve rarely had any issues until recently. Nothing major, just some new accounts created on X seemingly for the sole purpose of leaving some rude, insulting comments—nothing to lose sleep over. Then, a couple of days ago, something strange happened. I went to update my photos on P411, but I couldn’t because, after four years on their platform, they decided to suspend my account without notice. Without any cause or explanation, they wanted me to submit my ID again and go through the whole process like I was brand new. Much like when we screen you guys, we don’t enjoy submitting our IDs either. There’s a 100% chance that I can be identified as a provider. It was unsettling the first time I verified, and I'm certainly not eager to do it all over again. If anything, I’ve become more established and verifiable without the need for all that. So why? They initially said my website link was invalid, but that wasn’t true. Then they said they require all providers to submit their most recent info and to reverify. I don't believe that.
Anyhow, I‘d have been reluctant but willing to get in compliance with whatever they needed, but to suspend me during the busiest time of the year without saying a word is about as shitty as it gets. I don’t appreciate it and can survive without that platform. I barely used it anyway. The fact that they didn’t have their story straight and the way that it just came out of nowhere causes me to suspect that trolling went to another level. It could be a disgruntled client that I declined to see or a fellow provider, I don’t know. What I do know is that I was already in full compliance and had nothing to hide. So going forward, out of principle, I will no longer be on P411. I appreciate security and the need for verification, but they did it in the most unprofessional manner possible if that was all it was about.
Typically, I’d blow all this off and just keep on keeping on without giving it more attention than it deserves, and that’s what I intend to do, but first I’m writing this blog to inform past, present, and potential clients of the recent change and petty negativity leading up to it. I’ve had no negative interactions whatsoever with any clients or providers whatsoever. I’m involved in no conflict that I’m aware of. I’m not sure about any of it, honestly, but where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire. In my experience, if you’re aware that someone is intentionally saying or doing things that aren’t in your best interest (such as creating an X account and going directly to your page to make a negative comment), there’s more that you’ve yet to learn about. I hope not. I like to be upfront, though, so I decided to share what I’ve been experiencing. This biz can be seen by some as highly competitive and at the same time it carries a lot of bad stigma. Hence, the more you become established, the more you may be open to scrutiny or backlash from anonymous sources for any number of reasons. So please be discerning when researching me, or any provider for that matter, and make sure whatever you read comes from a verified and reliable source. Thank you!
Love,
Nevada
